WELL THEY NOW SAY...
The Netherlands is assisting with the
Holloway-case
After a tip that Natalee Holloway’s body
was buried in the sand hills, a big group of
officers searched the area in January of this
year.
ARUBA – The Netherlands will soon send
constables to Aruba to investigate the
disappearance of Natalee Holloway. The
Netherlands does this at her own expense.
The Corps National Police Service in the
Netherlands (KLPD) is going to help Aruba
with the Holloway-case.
They do this upon request of Justice-minister
Rudy Croes (MEP). Croes has also asked
Interpol to thoroughly examine the file.
Holloway disappeared more than a year ago
during a school trip. The authorities have
worked on that case since then, without finding
any trace of the girl. Minister Croes has sent a
letter to The Hague a week ago requesting
assistance. He hopes that with police assistance
from the Netherlands, the case will be solved
faster. “Aruba sympathizes with the parents
and close family of the girl, despite the negative
campaign against the island”, writes
Croes in the letter.
The request went to minister Johan
Remkes (VVD) of Home Affairs and the minister
of Kingdom Relations, Atzo Nicolai (VVD).
As a result of the request, the KLPD will get
full leadership of the investigation.
Police officers of the Dutch corps will come to
Aruba especially for the investigation.
The Netherlands will also pay for the
accommodation expenses of these officers in
Aruba and also the expenses for the
commitment. They will also get a location of
their own, out of which they can work on the
case. The police officers are allowed to carry
a gun and use it and they get power of
criminal investigation. They will also get access
to relevant information from the Holloway-file
and all the information system.
Minister Croes promised in his letter that the
Dutch officers will get full cooperation of the
investigation authorities and the government.
Croes has also formally requested the Interpol
to investigate the file for irregularities. “Upon
request of the attorney general, Interpol had
meanwhile tried to get the not yet released
data by the FBI (the American federal police,
editor)”, mentioned the minister in the letter.
The Public Prosecutor confirmed being aware
of the request, but emphasized that it didn’t
come from attorney general Theresa Croes–
Fernandez Pedra, but from the Justice-minister
himself.
He had asked Interpol for assistance in July,
when he visited the headquarters of the
international police organization in Lyon,
France.
The OM is also aware of the cooperation
between the corpses from the Netherlands
and Aruba and mentioned that this was done
on police level and that the OM had not made
the request. “The criminal investigation in
the Holloway-case is still open.
If the Dutch police can help, they are more
than welcome to do so”, said Mariaine Croes
Is this a plot to close the investigation?

SO MANY CLUES- Nothing done?
The Natalee Holloway
case has so many
Clues.
Reading all the
statements make me
want to cringe.
How could the ALE
not zero in on all
the links, lies etc.
staring them in
the face?
Why did they look the other way?
Has an investigation of the police actions been
conducted?
No nothing, Aruba has chosen not to zero
in on the clues in this case.
They will allow Joran to walk away from this
crime in less than 9 months when the required
2 year deadline comes into effect.
We know what you are doing ARUBA before
you do it.
SHAME on ARUBA and ITS ALE...
Check out Scared Monkeys post...
So why would Osman be asked by the police
about what Natalee Holloway had on her and
what Deepak may have said to him?
(Drivers License and approximately $50.00).
Why would Osman even be questioned?
Osman is the owner of the Automotive
Enterprises.
SUFFOCATION -A CRIME IN ARUBA?
Autopsy Father Montoya revealed suffocation
CURACAO – Autopsy has revealed this
morning that Father Alejandro Montoya of the
Bonam Church died from suffocation.
That is definitely a crime and there are no
suspects yet. WHAT ELSE IS NEW!!!
In the interest of the investigation, the
authorities do not want to release any details,
only that they are going all-out on solving
this case.
“We are on top of it. You better believe it”,
said police commissioner Marlon Wernet.
“And all tips from the community are
extremely welcome. It doesn’t matter how
little the information is.”
Montoya was found in his bed under a blanket
yesterday morning, with a pillow next to his
head, his hands tied up and his mouth taped
up, even though the latter is not confirmed
nor denied. The police found several tracks
that are now being analyzed. The assault
itself had probably taken place in the evening.
Shortly after the body was found, the police
also found Montoya’s car on Seru Cocori and
confiscated it for investigation of the tracks.
The authorities released Montoya’s body
after the autopsy.
There will be a memorial service for him this
coming Saturday.
The body will afterwards be flown to his native
country Colombia to be buried.

ARUBA- Another Unsolved case
Well matters are not moving in Aruba at all.
They now have a new murder on hand...
Crisis deliberation after fatale
assault on Father Montoya...
CURACAO – "The authorities convened a crisis
deliberation this morning after the fatale
assault on Father Alejandro Montoya (59) of
the Bonam Church. He was found dead in the
presbytery this morning. Somebody has broken
in, and everything was turned over. Montoya’s
hands were tied and his mouth was taped up.
Autopsy will have to reveal the cause of his
death, but a heart infarct or suffocation is not
ruled out.
Almost the entire population reacted in shock
on the news of Montoya’s death.
The news came as a bombshell. Father Montoya
was a loving person that according to his
parishioners, was always ready to help people.
Other than cash, a fax machine and a computer,
the attackers also took his car, which shortly
after his body was discovered, was found near
Seru Cocori. Nothing is known yet about the
attackers. Police spokesman Mando Davelaar
urges those that can give the police a tip, to call
the hotline 108 and inform the Atrako-team
of the police."
RIGHT I CAN SEE THEM ALL CALLING!!
Don't be surprised when you hear it
is a suicide AGAIN....

Teacher arrested in Thailand for infamous
murder of pageant girl...
JACQUI GODDARD IN MIAMI
"In a dramatic twist to one of America's most
notorious unsolved crimes, police arrested a
man in Thailand last night for the murder of
six-year-old child beauty queen
JonBenet Ramsey a decade ago.
Reports in the US claimed that the man - said
to be a 41-year-old American and a convicted
sex offender - had confessed to certain details
of the murder that are known only to
investigators. "
Hmmm let me guess... He was arrested in
thailand and afraid he would be executed so he
notified authorities to send him back to states
for trial.

Pro-terror sympathies undermine respect
for Canadian law
says B’nai Brith Canada
TORONTO, August 15, 2006 –
B’nai Brith Canada has reiterated its concern
over the increasingly open displays of sympathy
for terrorist groups on our city streets. Virulently
anti-Israel manifestations such as this weekend’s
burning of an Israeli flag by cheering crowds
at a supposedly pro-peace rally held in Toronto,
should be taken as a precursor of future
extremist activity if left unchecked, says the
Jewish human rights group.
“We have noted an alarming trend whereby
elements within Canadian society are openly
challenging Canadian law to express support
for terrorist groups like Hezbollah that are
banned in this country,” said Frank Dimant,
Executive Vice President of B’nai Brith Canada.
“We are concerned by the statement of
Ali Mallah, Vice-President of the Canadian
Arab Federation – Ontario Region, who has
expressed open defiance for Canada’s laws
by challenging the government’s ban of Hezbollah.
He did so in a very public venue on a popular
Toronto radio program, apparently without
considering the implications of the terrorism that
he appeared to be condoning. We also heard last
week the joint statement by the Islamic Supreme
Council of Canada and the group
Muslims Against Terrorism, which in one breath
condemned the alleged terrorism plot discovered
by UK authorities, while at the same time
characterizing it as a trumped-up plot to deflect
attention away from events in Lebanon. The groups
alleged that the plot was dreamt up by ‘Neo Cons’,
which is often used as code for Jews.
“We have requested an urgent meeting with
Ontario Attorney General Michael Bryant, Toronto
Police Chief Bill Blair as well as relevant federal
authorities. We are recommending that loopholes
in the existing anti-terrorism legislation be closed to
prohibit the kind of glorification of terrorism that we
are currently seeing. Such pro-terror sympathies
must be addressed immediately, lest Canada’s
multicultural values of tolerance and respect be
eroded.” No Tags

It appears that Paulus Van der Sloot will not be

Prosecutors in Aruba will appeal the award.
ORANJESTAD, Aruba (AP) — Aruban prosecutors said
Tuesday they will appeal an order to compensate
a man detained in the disappearance of missing
Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway.
A judge on the Dutch Caribbean island ruled
on July 28 that the prosecutors office should
pay $30,190 to Paulus van der Sloot, a former
justice official in Aruba who was detained
in the case for three days, for defamation and
legal fees.
Mariaine Croes, spokesperson for the Aruban
Prosecutors office stated,
“The public prosecutor’s office does not
agree with the amount granted, since this is
much higher than usual.”

THE SIZE 14 SHOES? JORAN??
DOES DADDY WEAR SIZE 14 SHOES?
http://www.courttv.com/news/holloway/
august 10 2005
ORANJESTAD, Aruba (CNN) —
Aruban authorities investigating the
disappearance of Alabama teenager
Natalee Holloway are looking for a pair of
size-14 tennis shoes that suspect
Joran van der Sloot might have lost, a
police official said.
"He says he might have lost a pair of
sneakers on the beach the night Natalee
disappeared," said lead police investigator
Roy Tromp. "That's what he claims in one
of his many statements."
Tromp said the 17-year-old suspect described
the shoes as white and blue and brand new.
"He claimed he lost them in the area of
Fisherman's Hut, but we [are] looking at
other places, including the pond," he said.
The pond was drained last week after a
witness said he had seen Van der Sloot
and two other named suspects -- brothers
Satish and Deepak Kalpoe -- nearby.
Authorities said Saturday they found
nothing in the pond.
Fisherman's Hut is an area of a beach near
the Marriott and Holiday Inn hotels.
Holloway was staying at the Holiday Inn.
She was last seen May 30 leaving a bar
with Van der Sloot and the Kalpoes, all of
whom live on the island. All three were
arrested June 9, but a judge ordered the
Kalpoes released on July 4.
No one has been formally charged in the
teen's disappearance.
In one of multiple versions the three have
told police about what happened that night,
they said they left Holloway at a beach
near Fisherman's Hut.
Police told CNN they don't know whether
Van der Sloot is telling the truth, but they
are now asking the public's help to look
for the shoes to assist with their
investigation.
They did not explain why they are now
making the search public.
Van der Sloot is expected to be questioned
again Tuesday, this time by Dutch
investigators who are behavioral specialists,
according to police.
Authorities said Van der Sloot will be
transported from the prison where he is
being held to a police station for the interview.
Police on Friday night used searchlights
and cameras on the ground and from the air
to look at areas of interest under the
remaining water in the pond.
The search yielded nothing, authorities said.
On Saturday morning, divers searched one
spot in the middle of pond, but came up
with nothing.
Police have again downplayed a witness
who came forward a few days after
Holloway's disappearance and claimed to
have seen what could have been the body
of a woman being dumped at a landfill.
Police said the vehicle described by that
man was not there that night or in the
surrounding days. In addition, they said,
authorities searched the area twice and
found nothing.
Nevertheless, they support another search
of the landfill by a private group.
EquuSearch, the Texas-based volunteer
group conducting that search, has moved
25,000 to 30,000 square feet of garbage,
one of its members said.
The group will return to the landfill
Tuesday with three to six donated bulldozers,
he said.
Holloway, an 18-year-old honors student
from suburban Birmingham, was in Aruba
with classmates to celebrate their high school
graduation when she disappeared.
Her mother, Beth Holloway Twitty, has
returned home to Alabama after spending
about two months in Aruba during the search
for her daughter.

Re: Joran's Police Statement
- June 14th, 2005 - From Diario 05/08/06
[handwritten:] June 14th Deepak had said
that I have left my shoes at the Marriott Hotel.
Deepak told me not to worry, because he'd
pick the shoes up tomorrow for me.
I had left a pair of white with blue shoes of
the brand "K-Swias" [sic], size "14" on the
beach. These shoes I bought in the United
States What I also could mention is that
during the drive Deepak told me that he
was free the next morning that he didn't
have to go to work. I told Deepak that I did
have school and that I was tired. I was left
on May 30th, around 3:45 am at my house
by Deepak. During exiting the car I asked
him if he was going to go online. Deepak
told me yes. Furthermore I had told him
that I would call him the next day. I had
asked Deepak if he could pick up the shoes
that I had left on the beach. Deepak told
me that he would pick up the shoes
inmediately. Then Deepak drove away.
In this lie,
(This is lie #3 of Joran's to police, right?),
he even details a phony conversation between
himself and Deepak during the drive home.
Here he has Deepak going back "immediately"
to get his shoes.[handwritten parallel
alongside the margin:] June 29th When I
was picked by Satish around quarter to
three (02:45am) I was barefoot. I went to
sit in front, next to Satish. I don't exclude
the possibility that I had sand on my feet.
Definitely did white sand from my feet stay
behind on the floormat of the Honda.
I had left my shoes (sneakers) on the beach.
I had told Satish where I had left my shoes
(sneakers). Now the blame is pointed at Satish.
Notice the major time differences in his
two stories. No matter which story he tells,
or to whom, there is 1 hour missing from
that night.I heard that the suspect told me,
in short, without being aksed: -That he
didn't expect such an interrogation that
he had just experienced -That he had
expected that the interrogators would
have a division of roles, where one of
them would be friendly and the other
unfriendly -That he found the media
attention for the case that he was held
for was excessive -That there were more
important matters -that the attack in
England was real news, but that after
the day of the attacks the Natalee case
was again the main news -that he conciously
isn't going to run for journalists and
phtographers because that would make
the case only worse -that he heard from
his lawyers that it wasn't a smart choice
to wear a pair of sunglasses during a
transport, where he was photographed
-that his lawyers weren't happy with the
fact that at the opportunity that was
photographed with a pair of sunglasses
he was also photographed smiling in
the car -that he thought that I, De Ruiter,
spoke a lot -that at the moment of the
conversation he was wearing K-Swiss
from a cellmate that had borrowed
him these. These first two statements
tell me that daddy did in fact coach
Joran on what to expect, and how to
behave.[handwritten]: August 2nd Suspect
was aksed to take off one of his shoes.
Suspect looked around and wanted to look
for support in his lawyer, but this one
didn't look at him and continued to write
He put this [the sneaker] after an urgent
request with a bang on the table.
Interrogators asked him then why he
was wearing on the day in question
K-Swiss size 14, while he was
wearing now shoes size 10.5
Affter the suspect had put on his shoes, I,
interrogator de Ruiter, pressed on the nose
of his shoes and felt that the toes of the
suspect were straight and well fit into
the shoe. Suspect didn't react further
Around 11.30 the interrogation finished.
[handwritten:] August 8 2005
Joran never answered the question
about his true shoe size?
Never answered why he claimed to
have worn a size 14 shoe that night?

group conducting that search, has moved
25,000 to 30,000 square feet of garbage,
one of its members said.
The group will return to the landfill
Tuesday with three to six donated bulldozers,
he said.

Re: Joran's Police Statement
- June 14th, 2005 - From Diario 05/08/06
[handwritten:] June 14th Deepak had said
that I have left my shoes at the Marriott Hotel.
Deepak told me not to worry, because he'd
pick the shoes up tomorrow for me.
I had left a pair of white with blue shoes of
the brand "K-Swias" [sic], size "14" on the
beach. These shoes I bought in the United
States What I also could mention is that
during the drive Deepak told me that he
was free the next morning that he didn't
have to go to work. I told Deepak that I did
have school and that I was tired. I was left
on May 30th, around 3:45 am at my house
by Deepak. During exiting the car I asked
him if he was going to go online. Deepak
told me yes. Furthermore I had told him
that I would call him the next day. I had
asked Deepak if he could pick up the shoes
that I had left on the beach. Deepak told
me that he would pick up the shoes
inmediately. Then Deepak drove away.
In this lie,
(This is lie #3 of Joran's to police, right?),
he even details a phony conversation between
himself and Deepak during the drive home.
Here he has Deepak going back "immediately"
to get his shoes.[handwritten parallel
alongside the margin:] June 29th When I
was picked by Satish around quarter to
three (02:45am) I was barefoot. I went to
sit in front, next to Satish. I don't exclude
the possibility that I had sand on my feet.
Definitely did white sand from my feet stay
behind on the floormat of the Honda.
I had left my shoes (sneakers) on the beach.
I had told Satish where I had left my shoes
(sneakers). Now the blame is pointed at Satish.
Notice the major time differences in his
two stories. No matter which story he tells,
or to whom, there is 1 hour missing from
that night.I heard that the suspect told me,
in short, without being aksed: -That he
didn't expect such an interrogation that
he had just experienced -That he had
expected that the interrogators would
have a division of roles, where one of
them would be friendly and the other
unfriendly -That he found the media
attention for the case that he was held
for was excessive -That there were more
important matters -that the attack in
England was real news, but that after
the day of the attacks the Natalee case
was again the main news -that he conciously
isn't going to run for journalists and
phtographers because that would make
the case only worse -that he heard from
his lawyers that it wasn't a smart choice
to wear a pair of sunglasses during a
transport, where he was photographed
-that his lawyers weren't happy with the
fact that at the opportunity that was
photographed with a pair of sunglasses
he was also photographed smiling in
the car -that he thought that I, De Ruiter,
spoke a lot -that at the moment of the
conversation he was wearing K-Swiss
from a cellmate that had borrowed
him these. These first two statements
tell me that daddy did in fact coach
Joran on what to expect, and how to
behave.[handwritten]: August 2nd Suspect
was aksed to take off one of his shoes.
Suspect looked around and wanted to look
for support in his lawyer, but this one
didn't look at him and continued to write
He put this [the sneaker] after an urgent
request with a bang on the table.
Interrogators asked him then why he
was wearing on the day in question
K-Swiss size 14, while he was
wearing now shoes size 10.5
Affter the suspect had put on his shoes, I,
interrogator de Ruiter, pressed on the nose
of his shoes and felt that the toes of the
suspect were straight and well fit into
the shoe. Suspect didn't react further
Around 11.30 the interrogation finished.
[handwritten:] August 8 2005
Joran never answered the question
about his true shoe size?
Never answered why he claimed to
have worn a size 14 shoe that night?

Applaud Harper's stand on Israel
Aug. 8, 2006. 01:00 AM
Canadians disagree with their
politicians ?
Opinion, Aug. 6.
Israel left Lebanon six years ago.
The Israeli army is there now because Hezbollah
crossed the border and kidnapped Israeli soldiers
and is presently launching rockets into Israel
without any concern for whose home they
may land on.
To now accuse Israel of using force to protect
its citizens is preposterous.
I applaud Stephen Harper for his willingness to
stand up for Israel's right to defend itself against
Hezbollah. I would like to believe that we
elect our leaders because we have faith in their
ability to make difficult decisions not because
they will spend their time in government
strategizing on how to get re-elected.

TERRORIST GAMES...
Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad Siniora
addressed an emergency meeting of the Arab
League in Beirut on Monday and once again
called for an immediate ceasefire by Israel in
the Middle East conflict.
"What would you expect when you see your

The Israeli government and the Israeli generals,

This is state terrorism.
This should be stopped, and stopped now,"
he said.

must be considered.

ASK KIDS- They know it all...
HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHO TO
MARRY?
1. You got to find somebody who likes the same
stuff. Like, if you like sports, she should like it
that you like sports, and she should keep the
chips and dip coming.-- Alan, age 10
2. No person really decides before they grow up
who they're going to marry. God decides it all
way before, and you get to find out later
who you're stuck with.-- Kirsten, age 10
WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE TO GET
MARRIED?
1. Twenty-three is the best age because you
know the person FOREVER by then.
-- Camille, age 10
2. No age is good to get married at.
You got to be a fool to get married.
-- Freddie, age 6 (very wise for his age)
HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF
TWO PEOPLE A! R E MARRIED?
1. You might have to guess, based on
whether they seem to be yelling at the same
kids-- Derrick, age 8
WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM
AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON?
1. Both don't want any more kids.-- Lori, age 8
WHAT DO MOST PEOPLE DO ON A
DATE?
1. Dates are for having fun, and people
should use them to get to know each other.
Even boys have something to say if you
listen long enough.-- Lynnette, age 8
(isn't she a treasure)
2. On the first date, they just tell each other
lies and that usually gets them interested
enough to go for a second date.
-- Martin, age 10 (wise beyond his years)
WHAT WOULD YOU DO ON A FIRST
DATE THAT WAS TURNING SOUR?
1. I'd run home and play dead. The next day
I would call all the newspapers and make s
ure they wrote about me in all the dead
columns.-- Craig, age 9
WHEN IS IT OKAY TO KISS
SOMEONE?
1. When they're rich.-- Pam, age 7
2. The law says you have to be eighteen,
so I wouldn't want to mess with that.
-- Curt, age 7
3. The rule goes like this: If you kiss someone,
then you should marry them and have
kids with them.
It's the right thing to do.-- Howard, age 8
(this one has very good morals!)
IS IT BETTER TO BE SINGLE OR
MARRIED?
1. I don't know which is better, but I'll tell you
one thing. I'm never going to have sex
with my wife. I don't want to be all grossed
out.-- Theodore, age 8
2. It's better for girls to be single but not
for boys. Boys need someone to clean
up after them-- Anita, age 9 (bless you child)
HOW WOULD THE WORLD BE
DIFFERENT IF PEOPLE DIDN'T
GET MARRIED?
1. There sure would be a lot of kids to
explain, wouldn't there?-- Kelvin, age 8
And the #1 Favorite is........
HOW WOULD YOU MAKE A
MARRIAGE WORK?
1. Tell your wife that she looks pretty, even
if she looks like a truck.-- Ricky, age 10

True Canadians back Harper!!!!!!!
Cdns. back me on Mideast: Harper
Mike De Souza
The Ottawa Citizen
Saturday, August 05, 2006
CORNWALL - Prime Minister Stephen Harper
says he's not concerned about the recent
backlash from various ethnic communities
regarding his government's foreign policy
because he believes his stance is perfectly
in tune with the views of Canadians
regarding the war on terrorism.
After wrapping up a summer retreat with his
Conservative caucus, Mr. Harper dismissed
recent polls and protests that suggest many
Canadians want him to back away from his
support of Israel's conflict with Hezbollah in
Lebanon and his resolve to pursue the
Canadian military mission in Afghanistan.
"I think the position we have, properly
understood, is exactly the position of
Canadians," Mr. Harper told reporters
yesterday. "Canadians want to see peace
and stability in the Middle East. Canadians
are not neutral on terrorism or on terrorist
groups, and Canadians want us to work
with the international community to
develop a strong position that can lead to a
durable and lasting peace."
Following the news conference, Mr. Harper
had a different message for a Quebec
audience in a TV interview -- backtracking
on his earlier assessment of the Israeli
military strikes in Lebanon as a "measured"
response. "Now we have a completely
different situation from three weeks ago,
as I've said many times.
We have a full-blown conflict, almost a war,
and it's hard to say whether a response is
proportional to another. It's a war,"
Mr. Harper told the French-language
TVA network in Quebec.
(Mr. Harper is right, It is war,
Hezballah refused to return the
soldiers, fire misiles within civialian
areas causing their lives to be taken
promising to pay them back later.....
How do you pay back a child's life?)
Outside the Cornwall caucus, dozens of
protesters, waving Canadian, Lebanese and
Palestinian flags, tried to push their way past
police to tell Mr. Harper they disagreed with
his stance on the conflict.
Some of the protesters, from Cornwall,
Montreal and Ottawa, said
Mr. Harper is wrong to label Hezbollah a
terrorist group.
(Mr Harper reconizes terrorist for
what they are- Murders)
"Hezbollah are Lebanese civilians," said
Fatima Mustapha, 20, a Montrealer who
spent the past five years in Lebanon. "It's
the only one who is defending us.
It's the only one who is defending the
children who are dying, the families who
are crushed by the bombs of Israel."
(This statement came from a
Canadian Citizen?- Can you believe
it?) I understand freedom of
religious rights but people with
this political mind...are they truly
what canada needs as a citizen?
While the Prime Minister's Office eventually
allowed two protesters to meet with Foreign
Affairs Minister Peter MacKay and
International Cooperation Minister Josee
Verner, Mr. Harper refused to back down from
his stance supporting Israel's right to defend
itself as he spoke to reporters in English.
Many reporters, including all of the
French-speaking journalists, did not ask
questions because of the ongoing dispute
between the parliamentary press gallery and
the PMO over the protocol at news conferences.
Meanwhile, Mr. Harper added he wasn't
worried about alienating voters in various
ethnic communities, explaining the situation
in Afghanistan and the Middle East
represents a threat to Canada in light of the
recent terrorism-related arrests in Toronto.
"There are a lot of long-term strategic
interests of this country and of the world at
stake here and that's why we're taking the
positions that we're taking," said
Mr. Harper. "I'm not concerned or
preoccupied in any way with reaction within
individual communities. I think that
reaction is very predictable."
The protesters said they appreciated their
45-minute meeting with the ministers.
Rana Abdallah said Ms. Verner told them
she was heartbroken, as a mother of three,
to see the casualties in Lebanon.
(We are all heart broken when
children who don't realize their
families are sacrificing them in
hopes for repayment from
Hezballah dies)
Mr. Harper added that he didn't understand
why the opposition is taking a different
position on foreign policy.
"They are expressing positions without
policy, without suggestions -- ideas that
are completely different from those of the
international community," he said. "The
conditions have to be put in place to make a
ceasefire possible and make it stable.
Obviously that isn't going to be the case as
long as we have a terrorist organization
that's initiating violence and won't cease
its attacks."
The government wouldn't change its position
based on polls, he added.
"I watched the previous government make
decisions on the basis of weekly polls, and
we know what happened to them."

REGINA (CP) - Prosecutors are looking into
additional charges against a convicted
pedophile accused of abducting a 10-year-old
Saskatchewan boy.
Peter Whitmore, 35, is in police custody
following a two-day manhunt and 10-hour
standoff at a farmhouse near Kipling, Sask.
He is to appear in provincial court Thursday in
Regina.
Police say 10-year-old Zachary Miller appears
to be all right as is 14-year-old Jordan Bruyere
of Winnipeg.
Whitmore was arrested at the farmhouse
with Bruyere, who had been listed as missing
since July 22.
Whitmore has a long criminal record for
abusing children in Ontario.

Apparently Police had been searching for
Bruyere since he was reported missing in
Brandon, Man., on July 22.
Winnipeg police did not treat his case as
a kidnapping but said they were concerned
for his safety given Whitmore's history.
IS THIS A JOKE????
WHY NO AMBER ALERT?
HE IS NATIVE? IS THAT WHY?

NOT ALL CANADIANS AGREE.....
Adults in Canada are split on the way the Israeli
government has dealt with the situation in
Lebanon, according to a poll by Innovative
Research Group for the Canadian Defence &
Foreign Affairs Institute published in the Ottawa
Citizen. 37 per cent of respondents think Israel’s
response is justified, while 42 per cent disagree.
On Jul. 12, Hezbollah militants based in Lebanon
killed eight Israeli soldiers and captured two
more in a cross-border attack.
The Israeli armed forces launched air strikes
inside Lebanese territory to fight Hezbollah,
targeting the country’s infrastructure and its
airport. Hezbollah has retaliated by firing
rockets into several Israeli towns.
On Jul. 13, Canadian prime minister
Stephen Harper said he supported Israel’s
right to "defend itself", adding, "I think
Israel’s response under the circumstances has
been reserved. I think it’s tremendously
disappointing that these attacks come in areas
that Israel voluntarily evacuated."
Interim Liberal party leader Bill Graham
questioned Harper’s position, saying,
"If we act in a way that interferes with our
credibility in that respect, we will not be able
to be an effective ally of Israel or of Lebanon
and other countries in the Middle East where
we have an extraordinary stake."
New Democratic Party (NDP) leader Jack Layton
declared, "If peacekeeping is our contribution to
the world, then let us contribute more than
just memories and rhetoric, let us contribute
leadership in a meaningful way to help bring
peace to the Middle East."
