NEW CHARGES: After emerging from this squalid
farmhouse, suspect accused of sexual assault

REGINA, WINNIPEG -- Peter Whitmore now faces five
charges, including committing "numerous sexual
assaults" against two boys whose disappearances
prompted a nationwide hunt for the known pedophile
who surrendered to police on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old is charged with sexual assault
causing bodily harm and kidnapping the boys,
aged 10 and 14, with the intent to confine them against
their will, as well as one count of unlawfully taking
a child under 14 from their parents, according to
court documents.
The kidnapping offence carries the most severe
penalty, with a maximum sentence of life in prison.
