Abandoned baby happy, but still homeless

TORONTO - In her latest portrait shots, Angelica-Leslie laughs.
But the eight-month-old child, abandoned in a parking garage stairwell Jan. 30, still has had no one come forward to claim or identify her.
Next month, the Children's Aid Society will go to court to start her adoption process.

"You would hope to think that someone would recognize her,'' said Moxley.

"We're using Facebook (and) YouTube to put this picture out.

If she is not from here then maybe somebody in the United States

will recognize her.''
Persaud, meanwhile, said the CAS expects to make an application

to the courts in March to have Angelica-Leslie ``legally freed'' for

adoption, which will require the baby to temporarily become a Crown ward.
Persaud said the baby's biological family would then have 30 days

to appeal a judge's ruling."

Abandoned baby found in Toronto parking garage

"Toronto police have released the photo of an abandoned baby

discovered on the concrete floor of a parking garage Wednesday

afternoon.

The girl, believed to be eight months old, was found by a passerby

in the frigid stairwell of a parking garage in a strip mall near

Leslie Street and Finch Avenue East, in the city's north end.
Until the baby cried, the passerby thought it was a doll.
The child, who was dressed in a green hat and white snowsuit

with a pink jumpsuit underneath when she was found, was

being cared for at North York General Hospital Wednesday

evening."

Someone must reconize this child?
