TORONTO - Police yesterday disclosed new information
about the alleged terrorist exploits of Abdullah Khadr,
charging he was part of a plot to kill Pakistan's prime minister
and that his arrest occurred as he was buying missiles for
attacks on coalition troops in Afghanistan.

AL-QAEDA LINKS UNDENIABLE, BUT COMMITMENT
TO CAUSE VARIES FROM CHILD TO CHILD
THE FATHER:
AHMED SAID KHADR Known in Muslim
extremist circles as "Al Kanadi"
(The Canadian), the
Egyptian-born Canadian who died in 2003
was a reputed al-Qaeda financier who
counted Osama bin Laden among his closest
friends.
THE CHILDREN:
ZAYNAB, 26 Arguably the most
outspoken member of her family, Zaynab is currently
under RCMP investigation for allegedly funnelling money
used to "fund and supply al-Qaeda camps in Afghanistan."
ABDULLAH, 24 Last October, Abdullah was arrested in
Pakistan, where he claims he was repeatedly tortured
during a 14-month jail term. He faces two criminal
charges in Boston in connection with his alleged work
as an al-Qaeda gunrunner.
ABDURAHMAN, 22 Often described as the black sheep
of the Khadr family, Abdurahman attended bin Laden's
camps but later rejected the radical Islamic views of his
father, going so far as to work as a mole for the CIA.
He is currently locked in a court battle with the Canadian
government, demanding that Ottawa issue him a
passport.
OMAR, 19 At the age of 15, Omar was apprehended
by U.S. Special Forces soldiers in Afghanistan after he
allegedly tossed a grenade that killed a decorated Army
medic.
After recovering from numerous bullet wounds,
Omar was transferred to America's prison for "enemy
combatants" at Guantanamo Bay, where he was recently
charged with murder and attempted murder.
ABDUL KARIM, 16 was shot and paralyzed from the
waist down in the gun battle that killed his father.
He now lives in a Scarborough apartment with his mother,
Maha Elsamnah, and several other siblings, including
a 14-year-old sister.
