Do's and Don'ts when Dating!!!
Dating Do's and Don’ts
1... use common sense and rely on your intuition when
meeting someone for the first time.
2... leave an updating schedule and phone number where
you can be reached with a friend or family member and
an estimated return time. This is for your safety and
protection. Call when you return.
3... meet in a well-populated, familiar public place close
to home.
4... be considerate, respond to conversations even if just
to say no thank-you. Showing your manners is a big A1
5... look at each date as chance to meet a new person.
Have fun and relax and get to know your date by talking
to them and learning their interests.
6... charge the battery and take your cell phone with you.
7... provide your own transportation to and from the first
date.
8... pay attention to any feelings of suspicion.
9... give your date the benefit of the doubt. If you are
uncertain of your feelings, say so and plan to continue
communications.
10... be courteous when parting ways. If both parties
consent, share a quick hug and plan another date! If not
politely move on...
Don’ts...
A... give false impressions, which could later lead to
embarrassment or disappointment by either party.
B... talk about you rexes or past relationships. Keep
conversations to your interests and simple information.
And don’t talk only about yourself. Listen!
C... give out your work or business email address or
information that is too personal on a first date
D... continue if something seems fishy, funny or harmful.
If something feels wrong, it probably IS wrong! Excuse
yourself and leave.
E... expect the each date to be more than it is. Take it
slowly. That special One is out there waiting.
F... Never meet at a deserted park, beach or swamp even if
it is daylight. You have to consider your safety first.
Don’t hesitate to call for help if the situation gets
uncomfortable.
G... be too secretive apart from extremely personal
information. Men, this applies to you too. Did you see
Fatal Attraction? Besides it could give the wrong impression.
H... Do not rely on your date for transportation. It will be
easier for you to leave an awkward situation if you have
your own transportation options.
I... Stay away from alcohol or any other mood altering
substance that might cloud your ability to stay alert and
cautious.
J… DON'T... make a fool of yourself by stalking a cheating
lover. its not worth it. MOVE ON!!
