Is There Really Any Reason to Fear the WORSE?
The growing problem of teen pregnant is now a global issue.
Whenever someone comments on teen pregnant they will
immediately assume the worst, thinking that the teen is not
prepared to become a parent and that the child is doomed
to failure in his or her future life. Is this really correct?
How can people decide about a baby’s future without even
knowing the parents or even knowing the unborn child?
Are these comments unfair and unjustified to the family?
Maybe the real concern is the matter of the teens having
unprotected sex at such an early age; which is of course
the main problem in teen pregnancy and for teens
pregnant. Teen pregnant problem is receiving more a
ttention in the light of rising statistics. Teens pregnant is
having a big effect on their school lives as well as their
home lives, two-thirds of teen pregnant mothers never
finish high school.
In teen pregnancy one third of young women become
pregnant at least once before the age of 20, also eight
out of ten teenage fathers do not marry the mothers of
their children. This statistics alone gives the parents more
reason to fear and to be worried if their teenage children
become pregnant. But the spotlight always seems to fall
on the failing teen pregnancy and does not seem to
highlight the more successful pregnancy and teens who
bring up their child in a loving family environment.
When people decide to help prevent teen pregnancy,
they need to see that most teens get a load of advice
from adults and magazines about pregnancy and the
effects of falling pregnant at an early age. Obviously,
when you are a teen, the last thing on your mind is to
get up in the middle of the night to take care of your
child. But there are also steps to take to see why some
teens may fall pregnant.
Some teens simply think that it won’t happen to them
and that is true if you have protected sex otherwise take
to mind the fact that sex is serious. Also just because
everyone else is doing it, it doesn’t mean that you have
to jump on the band wagon. You are in charge of your
life, don’t let anyone push or pressure you into having
sex. If you think that birth control “ruins the mood”,
imagine what a pregnancy test will do. If you are drunk
or high, you can’t make a good decision about sex.
Don’t do anything you might not remember or regret later
in life. If you are worried about your relationship, then
remember that sex won’t make him stay and neither will
a baby. If you’re not ready to become a parent, then
use protection. The best bit of advice to give however
is that you can simply just say NO. If your child however
does fall pregnant, the best thing for any parent to do is to
give them the best parental guidance possible, you haven’t
failed as a parent if they do fall pregnant, it’s a step in their
life that they will need to take with their parents by their side.
They will need every bit of advice or support that the parents
can offer as parents themselves. Do not fear the worst
and remember to help them every step of the way.
