CHIVALRY, IS IT DEAD?

The Act of Chivalry beaten down by

woman’s libbers over the years was

seen as demeaning to women. I have

wondered at times if it was taken too

far. Women were told that displays of

chivalry were demeaning and

condescending, and men had come

to believe that courtesy and

respectful attitudes weren’t “manly.”

Times are a changing around us.

What we needethical conduct and

personal integrity.

Remember your date is someone’s

daughter or son. Humans who have

feelings and like you deserve respect.

In these times of major disturbing

World disasters happening around us,

people are beginning to see that duty,

heroism, honesty and self-respect

are more valuable today than ever

before. We need to recreate the

Code of Chivalry to fit today’s needs.

Chivalry will reinstate the lost values

in our children of today. Sometimes

having a guy do things for you is

pleasant and well needed....

If he's willing to grab the check,

let him!

If he holds the door open for you,

THANK HIM,

be flattered because not too many

guys do that today...

I'm not knocking woman's lib, but

sometimes a guy should be able to

do something special, without

getting a lecture on equality.
I myself enjoyed having a car door

opened for me. A simple may I order

for you at dinner takes the stress of

you deciding. Please if you have any

allergies this is the time to say it.

Breaking out with a sever rash is not

worth it especially if you really like

your date.

Making sure you see your date to the

door shows you care and respect the

way she looks at you.

What ever happens make sure you

can look in each other faces the next

day with no regrets.

I am not saying bad dates don’t

happen. If they do end them early and

take your date home safely and sigh

relief that you will be able to look

yourself in the mirror the next morning

and say “I am a gentleman.”

It’s all about respect and treating others,

as you would wish to be treated.
