CURTIS RUSH
Durham police are crediting the quick reaction of
witnesses with possibly saving the life of a woman
allegedly attacked by an estranged spouse at a
GO Train station in Ajax Thursday morning.
Witnesses reported seeing a man and woman
arguing loudly in the parking lot of the train
station shortly after 7:30 a.m.
The argument quickly escalated, and the woman
was stabbed several times, police say.
People in the area rushed in to help the victim
and held the attacker for police.
A 31-year-old woman was taken
to hospital with wounds to her stomach and arm.
She was later released.
A 37-year-old Ajax man is facing charges of attempted
murder, assault, two counts of assault with a weapon,
uttering threats and weapons dangerous.
Police are not releasing the name of the man to
protect the identity of the victim.
WAY TO GO!!!!
