Host Father Accused Of Raping Foreign

FLORESVILLE, Texas --
A Sutherland Springs man is accused of raping a foreign
exchange student his family was hosting, according to police.
Timothy Jordan, 29, was arrested a week ago in
connection with the sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl
from Germany.
Wilson County Sheriff Joe Tackitt said the girl's
caseworker reported the crime two weeks ago.
"Mr. Jordan did admit to doing it and so he was arrested.
He's still here in our facility," said Tackitt.
The exchange student, who was attending
Floresville High School, has since returned home to
Germany.
The girl was one of four foreign exchange students
in the school district.
Superintendent David Vinson said student safety is a
priority.
"When a mom or dad want to volunteer to go on a school
field trip, they have a background check," said Vinson.
Tackitt said the organization that placed the girl in
Floresville does not conduct background checks.
He said Jordan did not have a previous record.
If convicted, Jordan faces up to 20 years in prison.

I hope his children have been checked too---just in case
