Hezbollah supporters. GO HOME!

News item:
Muslims who can’t respect Canada
should go back to the countries where
their loyalties lie.
A racist rant. Right? Not a chance.

The words were spoken by a high-ranking
Muslim official during a weekend Islamic
conference in Calgary.
Maulana Naseem Mahdi, president of the
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, said Muslims
who disrespect Canada are disrespecting their
own faith.
His comments should be required reading for
everyone in Canada at this time of elevated
tensions as the situation in the Middle East
totters ever closer to full-blown crisis.
For starters we’d commend Mahdi’s
remarks to Hussein Hammoud, a
Lebanese-Canadian who attended a
weekend demonstration in Toronto.
“We are all with the leader of Hezbollah,” said
Hammoud. “God bless him and we are praying
for him to defend us and defend our children.”
There’s far too much posturing going on from
all sides in the debate, with vast numbers of
people willing to ascribe all the blame to one
side or the other.
Our mailbox here at the Sun is filled with
letters, some of them demanding that Canada
condemn Israeli military action, others seeking
a complete ban on Muslims coming to our
country.
Much of what is being spouted is out-and-out
racism. That’s what made the words spoken
by Mahdi so welcome.
“We are deeply offended by people who are
coming to Canada, benefiting from all that they
have here and that they have lost in their own
country ... but are loyal to those who are against
Canada and Canadian interests,” he said.
“The Prophet Muhammad said love of your
homeland is part of your faith. Loyalty does not
mean you can’t disagree or have a different
opinion,” said Mahdi.
“But the Holy Koran never gives you the right to
disrupt and kill people because you don’t like
policy.”
Canada is a country that is built on tolerance
and harmony.
It’s also a nation that offers virtually limitless
opportunity and an unparalleled way of life.
Our tolerance, however, ends at advocating for
or taking part in violence.
If that’s your bent, then as the good cleric says,
there’s no room for you here.
IMHO
Hezbollah started this war and they
are responsible for what has happened
and the death of all.
Canadians who stand up for Hezbollah
must go home!!!
