Re 'Did We Do Anything?' Hamas Asks -- March 31):
Nasser Shaer, a member of Hamas and deputy prime
minister of the Palestinian Authority, seems genuinely
puzzled by Canada's cut-off of funds and asks,
"Did we do anything?"
Well, yes and no.
Yes, Hamas orchestrated suicide attacks against Israelis.
But no, Hamas hasn't renounced terrorism or recognized
Israel's right to exist.
Mr. Shaer can take his pick, I suppose.
