Woman's body found in trunk

RCMP are investigating the discovery of a
Woman's body in the trunk of her car near Halifax.
The 36-year old was reported missing around 10:15
Tuesday night when she failed to return from a
shopping trip.
A couple of hours later, a family member spotted
the woman's 1997 green Chevrolet Cavalier in a
parking lot at the Beechville Lakeside Timberlea
elementary school in Timberlea.
"The family went in search and found the vehicle,"
said Sgt. Frank Skidmore, an RCMP spokesperson.
When officers arrived at 12:30 a.m., they found the
woman's body inside the trunk.
RCMP are releasing few details, but say there is no
evidence of struggle and no weapon was found at
the scene.
The car was not damaged and nothing appears to be
missing.
The woman's name has not been made public.
But people in the neighbourhood say she was a
teacher at the elementary school.
Results of a preliminary autopsy are expected Thursday.
