Its amazing how people who have the money have
started a new trend to help the poor and sick.
They are creating their own organizations and not
giving it to agencies to manage as before.
They are also stepping out into the limelight

own charity on Friday in memory of his late mother, Princess Diana,
to help children orphaned by AIDS in Lesotho.
"I wanted to carry on as best I could what she started," said
the 21-year-old prince, whose mother was a leading AIDS activist
until her death in a Paris car crash in 1997.

Robert Hornbeck missing..
LAPEER -- Twenty-three-year-old Army Specialist
Robert Hornbeck hasn't been seen since
Saturday, April 15th.
He disappeared in Savannah, Georgia, following a
night of celebration.
Hornbeck had about 15 days left in the Army.
He had just returned from Iraq in January.
He was celebrating with a buddy, Jeremy Stone, at
a Savannah pool hall.
Hornbeck's father, Eric Hornbeck, and his
stepmother were visiting from Lapeer and were
with Rob at the pool hall.
The four were together until about midnight.
That's when Eric and his wife went home.
Three hours later, Eric Hornbeck got a call from
Jeremy Stone.
Stone said the two had too much to drink and
couldn't drive home from the Hilton Hotel.
By the time Eric Hornbeck got there, Rob was
no where to be found.
Stone said the two got separated and he wasn't
sure where Rob was.
Eric Hornbeck then called his son. "He answered
the phone and I said 'where are you at
Robert?' and he mumbled something on some
stairs and it went dead; that's the last I heard
from him."
That was the last anyone heard from him.
Savannah Police say that Rob's cell phone, credit
card, and vehicle haven't been used since that
Saturday.
Rob's mom, Tami Erickson, says she's used to
waiting for news, but this is different.
"I thought a year with him in Iraq was tough.
There are no words to describe. It's panic, it's
despair, it's total fear."
Rob's fiance, Mandy, who also lives in the Lapeer
area, left for Savannah this week to try and find Rob.
The two were supposed to marry in July.
Rob is a 2001 Lapeer East graduate.
Newscenter 25 will be working with our sister
station, WSAV, to keep you posted on this story.

Daughter's Disappearance Will be Solved
April 26, 2006 07:47 PM EDT
Her mother says she has 'faith' her daughter's
disappearance will be solved.
Beth Holloway Twitty was in Kentucky where she
spoke at the 15th annual Kentucky Crime Victims
Rights Day Rally. Twitty's daughter, Natalee,
disappeared last May. Four men have been
arrested in her disappearance, but all have since
been released.
"I keep thinking it will end on day. And I really have
enough faith that we will get to the bottom of it.
But when it will end, I just don't know," said Twitty.
Twitty has made several trips to Aruba looking for
her daughter.
Governor Riley has even asked Alabamians to
boycott traveling to Aruba.
Beth Holloway Twitty is living with every parent’s
worst nightmare.
Her aim is to make sure this does not happen to
another mother.
THANK YOU BETH TWITTY!!!!!

Charges withdrawn against six teens...
April 26, 2006 - 1:55 pm By: Anne Winstanley
Charges against six teenagers, accused of harassing
a 16-year old girl for more than a year, have been
withdrawn.
The teens have accepted a peace bond offer.
Under the conditions of the bond, they must stay
away from the victim and from their former school,
James Cardinal McGuigan Catholic High School.
The move means that the six, all charged with
criminal harassment and uttering threats, will
have no criminal record.
Four other teenagers refused the peace bond
offer and will return to court May 10.
Four teens have already entered a diversion
program to avoid trial in the case.
The other two charged with the most serious
allegations of sexual assault will likely go to trial.
The teens were arrested last November after a
girl told a teacher at James Cardinal McGuigan
Catholic High School that she had suffered 14 months
of sexual abuse and harassment.
It's amazing how deals are made...isn't it?

Van der Sloot lawyer replies....lalalalala
"Tacopina's court papers say the
parents' attempts to convince the court
the case belongs in New York are
"smoke and mirrors" that include:
_ The "imaginary notion" that Aruban
law would not apply to this lawsuit.
_ A "pretense" that Aruban law does
not allow pretrial discovery of evidence.
_ A "manufactured fear" of Aruba by
the plaintiffs and their witnesses.
_ A "misrepresentation" that the
Aruban government wants the case in
New York.
Tacopina also said having the trial in
New York would impose a tremendous
burden on the state court because
Aruban law would have to be applied
in some instances and some documents
written in Dutch would have to be
translated.
Scott Balber, a lawyer for Holloway's

Joran van der Sloot's Lawyer: We're Gonna Sue for Defamation!
Have we missed something?
Did we leave something out regarding Aruba?
Reported by Marie Therese - April 25, 2006
Last night Joe Tacopina, lawyer for
Joran van der Sloot, told FOX News'
Greta van Susteren that he is preparing to
file lawsuits against anyone who slandered
his client since the disappearance of
Natalee Holloway in Aruba.
Tacopina claimed that van der Sloot
would probably not sue hosts of the
various cable shows but guests and
pundits were fair game.
He mentioned Beth Holloway Twitty,
Natalee's mother, by name. Greta's
panel of legal beagles spent four minutes
making jokes about the Aruban
jurisprudence system.
They never once mentioned the
name "Joran van der Sloot." Should it
turn out that van der Sloot is innocent,
he may retire as a very wealthy man!
I am glad he said "Should it turn out
that van der Sloot is innocent"
hahahaha fat chance....
Lets also consider what Joran and the
Kalpoes said about the missing victim...
This is where we should begin....

Another Suspect in Arubian Case Released...
The surprise has not hit me as hard as it did on
Jorans release. I expected this as did many
others.
Arubians don't want this case solved.
It is a pity... I had hoped this suspect had
something to give to us.
"ORANJESTAD, Aruba — A suspect in
the Natalee Holloway case on Monday was
released from custody in Aruba.
Geoffrey van Cromvoirt, 19, was accompanied
by family members as he walked to a
parked car after his release.
...On Saturday, a 20-year old man with the
initials "E.B." was arrested in the Holloway
case and was released after six hours.
Aruban authorities have arrested seven
people in connection with Holloway's
disappearance and later released them
for lack of evidence."
ORANJESTAD, Aruba — The former lead
investigator in the disappearance of U.S.
teenager Natalee Holloway said Sunday his
19-year-old son was questioned as a
witness in last year's still unsolved case.
Aruban Police Commissioner
Gerold Dompig told The Associated Press
that police have twice questioned his
19-year-old son, Michael — once since
the April 15 arrest of Geoffrey van Cromvoirt,
who is also 19.
"Michael was merely one of the many
people who were questioned as witnesses
in this investigation and was never
considered a suspect,"
Dompig said during a phone interview
quoted from the foxnews website...

The weather is cold and damp outside but I
promised myself today is job hunting day.
I need to make sure I have other possibilities

My husband enters year 2....
I took my birthday off... from posting yesterday
Not because I wanted to but the renovations
my husband is doing on the basement
continues into the 2nd year.
The computer kept going on and off.
I have not seen much beyond the incomplete
bathroom, which still needs the fan connection
and air pipe.
The unfinished tiles in the ceiling, the knocking
down of the partitions and
wood/sawdust/nails/screws left on the floor
for all to see (think) he is still working.
How much longer before I can actually allow
people to visit ... remains the question.
I dont dare open the basement door (we have
a walk out basement) for fear people will see
the mess. I am actually tempted to get and pay
a company to come in and finish it.
..Except I dont have any idea what his plans
or needs are, They change weekly.
2 years of nothing and here comes another
summerof no enjoyment in the back yard.

My favourite animals...
This picture was stolen from my favourite
blog for relaxation.
http://whitesroad.blogspot.com/
Whenever I feel down or angry I head here and
look at the beautiful pictures Rauf takes of his
travels in India.
Monkeys has always been my favourite animals.
their playful nature and humanlike skills and
behaviour amazes me.
I just want to hold them and crush them with
love. An unwise move of course as they can be
dangerous. But the thought is there....

Duke Lacrosse Criminal Case
Did he??????
The Duke Lacrosse Criminal Case Gets
More Intense...
Here is a strange case which is getting lots of
publicity and I have watched many hours of it.
It is between Privileged white college students
and a struggling black woman, who has two
children and a checkered past.
They are saying that class and perhaps race, is
a factor in this case.
Rape as we well know has nothing to do with race
but class is another point.
The act of rape is committed against those
not able to defend themselves.
It is not sex. It is an act of rage.
The poor is always the victim as money/connections
is not available to them to defend themselves.
Here is a classical case of rape.
As in many rape case including the possible one
with Natalee Holloway -everyone blames the victim.
I am unable to understand this logic and perhaps
never will.
This world is full of complications and strange twists.
The sad thing is ...... they have the money to turn
things the way they wish .... I do not know if they
quilty or not yet....I quess more information is
needed. At this time the time factor shows a
period of time during which this assault could have
occured. I am willing to bet something happened.

DURHAM, N.C. The other stripper tells The
Associated Press that she thinks they're guilty.
Kim Roberts says she at first doubted the story
of a colleague who told police she was dragged
into a bathroom and raped at a
Duke lacrosse party.
But she now tells the A-P that after seeing
steps the defense attorneys have taken
that she wonders about their character.
Roberts says she doesn't know who is guilty, but
she believes somebody did something
at the party besides underage drinking.
Defense attorneys say Roberts has changed
her story to gain favorable treatment in an
unconnected criminal case against her.
They also note she e-mailed a New York
public relations firm, asking in her letter
for advice on "how to spin this" to her advantage.
Roberts was arrested eight days after the party
on a probation violation from a 2001 conviction
for embezzling.
Two lacrosse players have been indicted.

Or the other possiblility that she was scared
and did not tell the truth before and wants to
correct it.
Why does the press at times spin the story to
their advantage?
Who is this article defending?? you quessed

Preaching Safety for travellors.......
Mother of girl missing in Aruba preaches safety
Friday, April 21, 2006
Karen Farkas -Plain Dealer Reporter
Green -- The message on how to stay safe when
traveling was familiar to most Green High School
students Thursday but the messenger brought many
to tears and all to a standing ovation.
"I can't save Natalee," said Beth Holloway Twitty,
whose daughter disappeared almost 11 months
ago while on a trip to Aruba.
"It's too late for me, too late for Natalee, but it's
not too late for you."
Twitty, who became nationally known as she led
the search for her missing daughter, is traveling
the country to promote her new nonprofit
organization, the International Safe Travels
Organization.
Natalee Holloway, 18, disappeared May 30,
days after she graduated from high school
near Birmingham, Ala. She was on a
school-sponsored senior trip.
She was last seen getting into a car with three
men after spending an evening at a bar with
friends.
"She never saw this coming and was
blindsided," Twitty said.
"Natalee had a false sense of security. She
was among many friends and let her guard
down for just a moment.
In that moment, she vanished."
The three men were arrested and later
released, although Twitty still considers one a
major suspect.
Last weekend, police arrested a fourth man, a
19-year-old, and continued to search offshore.
Twitty said the man in custody was not anyone
the family discussed as a suspect with officers.
She said she doesn't know if charges will be filed.
"Natalee was kidnapped, raped and most likely
murdered," she said.
"What happened to her could happen to anyone
in this room."
Her presentation Thursday afternoon, which was
also scheduled for last night and today at the
University of Akron, Portage Lakes Career
Center and Coventry High School, began with
a moving video tribute to Natalee.
The 600 juniors and seniors were silent as
Twitty walked across the darkened stage,
lighted by a spotlight.
She gave a synopsis of events, describing her
frustration as she dealt with Aruba officials.
She spoke of her problems coping with
language barriers, Dutch law, the inability to
get search warrants and officials' denial of
how officials denied -100% the existence of
crack houses and brothels.
She searched many of them for Natalee, she
said.
She said youths need a safety plan wherever
they are and they have to watch out for
themselves.
They should carry cell phones and, if out of the
country, make sure they can make international
calls, which she regrets not arranging for
Natalee, who left her phone in her room.
"Whether in a mall or outside the U.S., you're
the only one who can save yourself," she said.
"The best way I can honor Natalee is to share
this information."
A Web site is under construction,
www.safetravelsfoundation.org, and will include
information for students and parents on more
than two dozen popular tourist destinations.
"For the past 11 months I've been living every
parent's worst nightmare," she said.
"I don't know what happened, where she is
or if she's alive. It doesn't look good."
To reach this Plain Dealer reporter:

The loss of her daughter has pushed
Beth Twitty to make sure this horrible
experience does not happen to any more
mothers. It is one thing when your daughter
goes missing but even harder to face
when it happens in a foreign country.
In our hometown you live with hope your
daughter will know where to come home.
In a country far from you...that hope is
diminished.
God Bless the Twitty And Holloway families.

The loss of her daughter has pushed
Beth Twitty to make sure this horrible
experience does not happen to any more
mothers. It is one thing when your daughter
goes missing but even harder to face
when it happens in a foreign country.
In our hometown you live with hope your

In a country far from you...that hope is
diminished.
God Bless the Twitty And Holloway families.

The Pope's Driver in America- HUMOUR
The Pope was on a visit to the US. After getting
all of the Pope's luggage loaded into the limo
(and he doesn't travel light), the driver notices
that the Pope is still standing on the curb.
"Excuse me, Your Eminence,"
says the driver,
"Would you please take your seat so
we can leave?"
"Well, to tell you the truth," says
the Pope,
"They never let me drive at the Vatican,
and I'd really like to drive today."
"I'm sorry but I cannot let you do that.
I'd lose my job! And what if something
should happen?" protests the driver,
wishing he'd never gone to work that
morning.
"There might be something extra in it
for you," says the Pope.
Reluctantly, the driver gets in the back
as the Pope climbs in behind the wheel.
The driver quickly regrets his decision
when, after exiting the airport, the
Supreme Pontiff floors it, accelerating
the limo to 105 mph.
"Please slow down, Your Holiness!!!"
pleads the worried driver, but the Pope
keeps the pedal to the metal until they
hear sirens.
"Oh, dear God, I'm gonna lose my
license," moans the driver.
The Pope pulls over and rolls down the
window as the cop approaches, but the
cop takes one look at him, goes back to
his motorcycle, and gets on the radio.
"I need to talk to the Chief," he says to
the dispatcher.
The Chief gets on the radio and the cop
tells him that he's stopped a limo going
a hundred and five.
"So bust him," said the Chief.
"I don't think we want to do that, he's
really important," said the cop.
Chief exclaimed...... "All the more reason!"
"No, I mean really important," said the cop.
The Chief then asked......
"Who ya got there, the Mayor?
" Cop:"Bigger."
Chief:"Governor?"
Cop:"Bigger."
"Well," said the Chief,"Who is it?"
Cop: "I think it's God!"
Chief:"What makes you think it's God?"
Cop:"He's got the Pope for a limo driver!"

Ships Use Sonar in New Search Off Aruba
By JONATHAN M. KATZ
The Associated PressWednesday,
April 19, 2006; 4:33 PM
ORANJESTAD, Aruba --
The Aruban coast guard searched offshore Wednesday
for missing teenager Natalee Holloway, authorities said.
Officials again refused to give any details about a
19-year-old man arrested over the weekend in connection
with the year-old case.
The public prosecutor's office said the coast guard was
using sonar and other equipment to check an unspecified
area off the Caribbean island.
The search, the latest of many for the missing Alabama
teen, was in its fourth day but had not previously been
disclosed.
Officials on the Dutch island said they were interviewing
witnesses and were in contact with authorities in the
Netherlands about tips received after the airing of a
television program devoted to unsolved crimes.
Authorities declined to provide details about the
developments or to answer questions about the
19-year-old being held on suspicion of involvement
in Holloway's disappearance 11 months ago.
A judge on Thursday approved a prosecution request
to hold the man pending further investigation.
He was also detained on suspicion of drug offenses.
Under the law, another hearing for the man _ identified
only by his initials, G.V.C. _ must be held by at
least April 25 if the prosecution wants to continue
holding him, said Mariaine Croes, a spokeswoman for
the prosecutor's office.
The 19-year-old's defense attorney, Eline Lotter Homan,
declined to comment.
Holloway, who was 18 when she disappeared, was last
seen leaving a bar with a Dutch teen, Joran van der Sloot,
and two Surinamese brothers May 30.
Van der Sloot and the brothers, Deepak and Satish Kalpoe,
were jailed and later released after a judge ruled there
was not enough evidence to hold them.
Searches involving Dutch marines, the FBI and hundreds
of volunteers have been conducted throughout the island
and off the coast.
More recent searches have focused on dunes along the
island's north shore.

A mouth from Aruba.........
Be careful what you say sir...
things have a way of coming
back to haunt you...
Made me smile!!
Hope it does the same for you...
Here are six reasons why you should
think before you speak -
the last one is great!
Have you ever spoken and wished that you
could immediately take the words back...
Here are the Testimonials of a few people
who did.
FIRST TESTIMONY: I walked into a
hair salon with my husband and three kids
in tow and asked loudly,
"How much do you charge for a shampoo
and a blow job?"
I turned around and walked back out and
never went back.
My husband didn't say a word...
he knew better.
SECOND TESTIMONY: I was at the golf store
comparing different kinds of golf balls.
I was unhappy with the women's type I had
been using.
After browsing for several minutes,
I was approached by one of the
good-looking gentlemen
who works at the store.
He asked if he could help me.
Without thinking, I looked at him and said,
"I think I like playing with men's balls."
THIRD TESTIMONY: My sister and I were
at the mall and passed by a store that sold a
variety of candy and nuts.
As we were looking at the display case,
the boy behind the counter asked if we
needed any help.
I replied, "No, I'm just looking at your nuts."
My sister started to laugh hysterically.
The boy grinned, and I turned beet-red
and walked away.
To this day, my sister has never let me forget.
FOURTH TESTIMONY: While in line at the
bank one afternoon, my toddler decided to
release some pent-up energy and ran amok.
I was finally able to grab hold of her after
receiving looks of disgust and annoyance
from other patrons.
I told her that if she did not start behaving
"right now" she would be punished.
To my horror, she looked me in the eye and
said in a voice just as threatening,
"If you don't let me go right now,
I will tell Grandma that I saw you
kissing Daddy's pee-pee last night!"
The silence was deafening after this
enlightening exchange.
Even the tellers stopped what they were
doing.
I mustered up the last of my dignity and
walked out of the bank with my daughter
in tow.
The last thing I heard as the door closed
behind me, were screams of laughter.
FIFTH TESTIMONY: This one had most of
the state of Michigan laughing for 2 days
and a very embarrassed female news anchor
who will,
in the future, likely think before she speaks.
What happens when you predict snow but
don't get any?
We had a female news anchor who,
the day after it was supposed to have snowed
and didn't,
turned to the weatherman and asked:
"So Bob, where's that 8 inches you promised
me last night?"
Not only did HE have to leave the set,
but half the crew did too, they were
laughing so hard!

Outcome of van Cromvoirt Arrest unknown...

that may hold forensic evidence.
The parents of Natalee Holloway are holding their breaths with
the rest of us awaiting confirmation of this new suspects link
to the crime.

"It does start to build again -- I'll be honest -- that hope of
maybe, maybe, this is the one break we need," she said.
"And that's all we need is just one break for this
entire, entire mystery to unravel what happened."
Its reported that Geoffrey van Cromvoirt, 19, was led
hooded and in handcuffs on Tuesday night into an
Aruban police station, after an Aruban judge spent the
afternoon hearing arguments that he should remain in jail.
Its amazing how no parent has run to his rescue after
the Kalpoes mother excellent behavious.
Stateing the obvious in her family. It's okay to lie and....cheat
....but we won't get into that.
Aruban prosecutors would not comment on the outcome, but
released a statement saying that he "is suspected of criminal
offenses that may be related to the disappearance of
Miss Holloway and of offenses related to dealing in illegal
narcotics."
Who did he sell them to?????????
Holloway was reportedly left alone on a beach the night she
vanished. And that comes from the other 3. HA HA...
It is the first momentum in months on this case, but police
haven't ruled out more arrests.
The other 4 persons of interests remain just that in my book.
Will one guy be prepared to take the fall for this crime?
If he thinks long, hard and carefully...HE WON'T.

Teen was seen with Natalee........LIES LIES
The article from the NYPOST
website is filled withmalicious
lies.
I suspected it and wondered at
the copied style taken from
National Enquiry articles.
Beth said she spent time retalking to the kids and no one can
connect Natalee to GVC. None of the students on the trip knew
who he was.
She thinks GVS has information on Natalee's disapearance
but isn't necessarily involved.
Beth clearly stated that she NEVER received a phone call from
Natalee the entire time she was in Aruba.
Natalee's cell phone did not work on Aruba to make
international calls; hence Natalee didn’t and couldn't have
called Beth telling her about a blue eyed dutch boy.
She stated it was simply not true that Natalee met GVC
while in Aruba.
Beth called out Julia Renfro with her lies she gave in the
Vanity Fair article.
Julia Renfro is a liar!!!!!!

Will this mystery end soon?
Karin Janssen smiles...
It has been reported by ABC that Karin Janssen smiled as she
left the courthouse today....
What exactly happened is unknown.
She is actually corressponding with Natalee's parents finally
and that can't be a bad thing.
The 19-year-old's defense attorney is Eline Lotter Homan.
She did not talk to reporters and she did not smile HURRAH!!!!
Note: Apparently Under Dutch law, which governs the island of
Aruba, suspects can be held for fixed periods of time without
being charged with the consent of a judge.
The courts also have the power to free suspects if the judge
determines there is insufficient evidence, as in the case with
the dynamic trio.
"G.V.C. is suspected of criminal offenses that may be related
to the disappearance of Miss Holloway and of offenses related
to dealing in illegal narcotics," the prosecutor's office said in
a brief statement.
Well it seems drug offences are enough to hold you but rape
may be okay??????????

HOTEL TAPE SHOWS ARGUMENT WITH
MYSTERY MAN???
April 18, 2006 -- The Dutch teenager who's been detained
in Aruba in the puzzling year-old Natalee Holloway case
was seen with the Alabama honors student on the night
she disappeared, her friends have told authorities.
Her pals also told officials that Geoffrey van Cromvoirt, the
9-year-old arrested Saturday, spent time with Holloway
earlier during her senior class graduation trip to the
Caribbean island, a source close to the investigation
said.
Aruban authorities are saying little about van Cromvoirt -
in fact they haven't even released his name, only his
initials.
According to what Holloway's friends have told
authorities, the blond-haired, blue-eyed van
Cromvoirt was seen with their classmate after she
left van der Sloot - the pals say they saw them in the
Holiday Inn casino together.
But when the casino's video surveillance tapes were
turned over to police, investigators could find no sign
of Holloway and van Cromvoirt, the source noted.
Van Cromvoirt's father is the security expert in
charge of video surveillance at the hotel.
Aruban authorities are also scrutinizing a surveillance
tape taken earlier on May 30 that shows Holloway
arguing with a light-haired young man in a jewelry store
in the Wyndham Hotel, according to the source.
They're trying to determine if the man is van Cromvoirt.
A source said police records indicate that "Natalee told
her mom and others she was in love with a blond-haired,
blue-eyed Dutch kid."
"The T-shirt has forensic evidence on it," said a source.

Holloway case detainee to be held 8 days
Monday, April 17, 2006; RELATED
(CNN) -- A man arrested in connection with
Natalee Holloway's 2005 disappearance has
been ordered to remain in custody for another
eight days, authorities on the Caribbean
island of Aruba announced Monday.
The 19-year-old man was arrested Sunday.
He is scheduled to appear Tuesday before a
judge, Aruban prosecutors said in a written
statement.
The Aruban newspaper Diario identified the
detainee as Geoffrey van Cromvoirt, the

(CNN) -- A man arrested in connection with
Natalee Holloway's 2005 disappearance has
been ordered to remain in custody for another
eight days, authorities on the Caribbean
island of Aruba announced Monday.
The 19-year-old man was arrested Sunday.
He is scheduled to appear Tuesday before a
judge, Aruban prosecutors said in a written
statement.
The Aruban newspaper Diario identified the
detainee as Geoffrey van Cromvoirt, the
brother of a police officer.
The paper also published photographs of van
Cromvoirt attending his sister's swearing-in
ceremony.

My question is this...
How come Deepak and Satish's lawyer has
not claimed Geoff is no friend of theirs either?

Geoffrey von Cromvoirt-Suspect in Natalee's case?
On Sunday, some media reports said
van der Sloot and von Cromvoirt were
acquaintances. Joseph Tacopina, an attorney
representing van der Sloot, who was arrested
in Holloway's disappearance last year but
released because of a lack of evidence, said
those reports were wrong. His client, he said,
knows nothing about von Cromvoirt.
"I am absolutely convinced he doesn't know him,
doesn't hang out with, or socialize with him,
did not know his name," Tacopina said.
"This somehow brought Joran back into the
picture. He knows nothing about him, has
never spoken of him, and certainly did not
discuss the case with him."
YEAH like we believe it because Joran said so.
hahahahaha
